Pair bailed in Shrewsbury bus boy case

Saturday 25th June 2011, 11:29AM BST.

Two people arrested after a two-year-old boy got on a bus from Montgomery to Shrewsbury on his own have been released on police bail.

Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman Sian George said investigations would continue between themselves and Powys County Council children’s services team.

The arrests came after the two-year-old got on the bus with other passengers at Montgomery on Monday morning and was noticed only when the bus reached its destination at Shrewsbury.

The child, who was wearing only pyjamas and a nappy, was unharmed.
