Little Stretton paraglider tree crash

Saturday 25th June 2011, 11:29AM BST.

A paraglider was airlifted to hospital after crashing into a tree in Shropshire.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to an area near the junction of the A49 and Ludlow Road, Little Stretton, near Church Stretton, at 12.50pm yesterday. An ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent out.

Ambulance Service spoke- swoman Claire Thomas said it was believed the man landed in the tree and fell while climbing down. He was flown to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
