Ed Foster eyes repeat as Lord’s final looms
Saturday 18th June 2011, 11:30AM BST.
Shropshire’s cricketers have been urged to use their big game experience as they aim to move to the brink of a Lord’s final tomorrow.
It’s a big day for Ed Foster’s side who host Cambridgeshire in the quarter-finals of the MCCA Trophy at Wellington (11am).
Shropshire won the 50-overs-per-side competition last year – when the final was played at Durham – and captain Foster is hoping those memories will inspire his side in tomorrow’s crunch clash.
“We have got experience of playing big games and we are also quite experienced in this competition as well,” said the skipper.
“We don’t know too much about Cambridgeshire but we have a game plan that has worked well for us so hopefully that will be the case again tomorrow.”
