Oswestry man to stand trial for murder

A 59-year-old Shropshire man is due to stand trial for the murder of an Oswestry woman.

Brian Woodmass, of Orchard Street, Oswestry pleaded not guilty to murdering Jill Nevitt at an address in the town on December 14 last year.

Woodmass, who was at Shrewsbury Crown Court today, is due to stand trial at Stafford Crown Court on November 21 and was remanded in custody.
