New Asda store to open in Market Drayton after £500,000 revamp creating eight jobs
Wednesday 15th June 2011, 9:40AM BST.
Supermarket giant Asda today unveiled £500,000 plans to transform the existing Netto store in Market Drayton in a move which will create eight new jobs.
The store, in Stafford Street, will close for about two weeks on July 2 while it is converted into an Asda.
The new supermarket, which is expected to re-open on July 19, will stock more than 10,000 grocery products – about four times more than the number previously sold at Netto.
All of the existing staff will be transferred to the new Asda.
