Man airlifted after Rhayader car collision
Tuesday 14th June 2011, 6:01PM BST.
A man was airlifted to hospital after a collision between two cars on a major route on the outskirts of a Mid Wales town.
The man was trapped in his car following the accident, which took place on the A470 South Street, in Rhayader, shortly before 5pm yesterday.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the scene near the entrance to the Red Kite centre.
The man was freed from his car and taken by a Wales Air Ambulance crew to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
