Artist ‘honoured’ by festival showcase

A Shropshire digital artist has said he is honoured to have his work showcased at a major arts festival in America, which is taking place this weekend.
Andy McKeown, of Belle Vue, Shrewsbury, was invited to put together a display at the Digital Graffiti Festival in Alys Beach, Florida, by organisers after impressing them with his entry last year.
Mr McKeown said he was not expecting to win any of awards handed out by organisers but was just pleased to have his work considered good enough to be included in the international event.
“Winning is not the reason for doing this show. The main thing is to be part of it. They take the coolest projects on the planet that they want to put in,” he said.
