£10,000 computer theft at Telford primary school

More than £10,000 of computers have been stolen from a Telford school.

Thieves smashed their way into Wombridge Primary School in Hartshill, Oakengates, before making off with 21 Apple Mac computers.

Headteacher Neil Satoor said the break-in happened sometime between 6.30am on Tuesday and 7am yesterday.

He said: “The children had taken to this equipment so successfully. This is a significant blow for the school and we are all very disappointed. Since September we have developed a reputation for our creative approach to technology.

“This will obviously hit our ability to offer the best opportunities to our children and I would appeal to anyone who has any information to get in touch with the police.

“We are determined that we will continue to invest in the best technology.”

Call police on 0300 3333000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
