Car crashes into Wem shop
Saturday 4th June 2011, 12:57PM BST.
Firefighters were called after a car crashed into a shop on the high street of a Shropshire town, rupturing the gas supply.
Two cars were involved in the Wem High Street incident just before 11pm yesterday.
A resident said a car had gone into a shop near the White Horse pub.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a RTC into a shop and I believe it ruptured the gas supply.
“It was cordoned off and Transco attended.”
Nobody was injured in the incident.
