Pedestrian dies after Market Drayton car accident

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Market Drayton.

The accident took place in Shrewsbury Road at around 10.30pm last night.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, BASICs doctors and a paramedic Incident Support Officer in a rapid response car to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff and doctors, nothing could be done to save this man who was confirmed dead at the scene.”
