Have you got your Olympics 2012 tickets?
Wednesday 1st June 2011, 3:59PM BST.
Shropshire sports fans face an anxious wait to see which, if any, Olympic tickets they have got and how much money they will have to pay.
A London 2012 spokesman said most payments were due to be taken last night but they were still working towards a June 10 deadline to collect all payments.
Even then, would-be buyers will be told what they have successfully won by June 24. Initial card payments were due to be debited by the end of yesterday for cards that went through first time, according to the organisers.
Outstanding payments from successful applicants whose cards failed the first time around for a range of reasons are now being taken.
In total, 1.8 million people have made 20 million requests for tickets, but only 6.6 million tickets are on sale in Britain. This has resulted in over-subscriptions for more than 50 per cent of the 650 sessions, which has triggered computerised ballots.
A London 2012 spokesman said: “Applicants who have been unsuccessful and have got nothing in the first round will get priority in the second round.
“The reality is that many people will not be lucky the first time around. There have been 20 million applications for tickets and many events have been oversubscribed, so there will be some people who will not get any in the first round but they will get something in the second round.”

I bet the sponsors and the so called top suits never had to go on line at hope they get seats for a certain event like the mens 100m final. ticket allocation is just on big joke.
