A 76-year-old man suffered serious chest injuries after falling from a quad bike which then rolled over him.

The incident happened in a field off Glebelands Close, in Bitterley, near Ludlow, at about 1.30pm yesterday.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “Crews administered pain relief to the man before they carefully immobilised him with a neck collar and spinal board.”
