50 firefighters tackle warehouse blaze

Two businesses have been destroyed after fire ripped through two warehouses near Bridgnorth today.

A total of 50 firefighters from across the West Midlands were today tackling the blaze at a fibreglass production business and a woodworking firm at Kings Nordley.

Fire crews were using water from a nearby pool in an attempt to douse the flames.

Incident commander John Griffiths said: “Both units have been destroyed by the fire and the fire is believed to be accidental but, investigations are ongoing to determine a cause.”
