Warning after spate of Shrewsbury pub burglaries
Thursday 12th May 2011, 3:49PM BST.
Shrewsbury pub licensees have been warned to be on their guard after a spate of break-ins.
Four pubs in the town centre have been burgled since the beginning of the month – the Golden Cross in Princess Street, The Vaults in Castle Gates, the Albion Inn at Castle Foregate and the Belle Vue Tavern in Belle Vue Road.
Detective Inspector Sarah Wagstaff said today: “We want pub landlords and their staff to be aware of what’s happened.
“We are investigating the incidents and appealing for witnesses or anyone with information about those responsible, to contact Shrewsbury CID on 0300-333-3000.”
