Members of a Shropshire dance group wowed judges on Britain’s Got Talent at the weekend.

DNA, from Telford, performed a lively hip hop dance routine which impressed judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff.

As part of the routine, dancer Tanita Guthrie caught the attention of Mr Hasselhoff when she cheekily told him off during the performance.

She said: “You have been a very bad judge, a very, very bad judge.”

After members of the group, who were decked out in red jeans and black tops, finished, Mr Hasselhoff said: “Well you’re right, I’ve been a very bad judge.”

DNA members include James Brown, Ashleigh Griffiths, Jordan Dyal, Kirsten Eagle, Natalie Edwards, Gabrielle Dumas and Chanelle Green.

Dee Spencer, who choreographs the routines for the eight-member group, was delighted to see DNA on the ITV competition on Saturday night .

She said: “We were very happy to get through, but we are taking part in a different TV show so we can’t continue with Britain’s Got Talent. But it was a good experience.”

The group rehearses at Full Out Dance Studio in Tweedale.
