Police name Telford death crash motorcyclist

A motorcyclist from Shropshire who died after a crash at a busy junction in Telford has today been named.
Robert Watson, 22, from Telford, died when the bike he was on collided with a car at the Trench Lock island in the town at about 10.15pm on Monday.
Another man, also on the bike was seriously injured and remains in a “poorly but stable” condition at Telford’s Princess Royal Hospital. Police said today he was due to undergo surgery for a leg injury.
West Midlands Ambulance spokeswoman Suzie Fothergill said two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an incident commander were sent to the scene after the men came off the bike.
Telford police spokesman Chris Ammonds today appealed for witnesses to the crash to call police at Telford on 0300 333 3000.
