A 30-year-old man has admitted an arson attack at a Shropshire rugby club.

Sentence on Gavin Winwood, of no fixed address, was adjourned for reports at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday. He was remanded in custody.

Winwood admitted breaking into Highley Rugby Club, near Bridgnorth, on February 9, stealing a quantity of kit and destroying the building in an arson attack.
