Dog bites Telford boy’s face

An eight-year-old boy was bitten in the face by a dog as he walked along a Telford road with his family.

The youngster suffered a one-inch puncture wound to his top lip and was taken to hospital for treatment.

It happened in Humber Lane, Donnington, at 9pm on April 20.

Police said a short haired dog with black or brown markings ran up to the family group and jumped up and bit the boy then ran away.

Witnesses are asked to call Constable Steve Wootton on 0300 333 3000.
