Plane crash at Shobdon Airfield

Monday 25th April 2011, 11:29AM BST.

Two men escaped injury after the light aircraft they were travelling in crashed on an airfield near the Shropshire border.

The plane crashed at Shobdon Airfield, near Leominster, at about 6.30pm yesterday.

Crews from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene amid reports one of the men was trapped, but both men, believed to be in their mid-40s, escaped without any injuries.
