Traffic standstill after rush-hour Trench Lock accident

Thursday 21st April 2011, 11:40AM BST.

Traffic was brought to a standstill in Telford this morning after a rush-hour smash caused delays of up to an hour.

Long queues formed on the A442, Eastern Primary, after the two-car crash at Trench Lock Interchange, at about 8.45am.

A police spokesman said: “There were long delays.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “There was one patient, a male in his 30s, who suffered a back injury and was conveyed to the Princess Royal Hospital.”
