Classic tractors ready to hit Bridgnorth
Saturday 9th April 2011, 10:01AM BST.
A convoy of about 100 classic tractors will be travelling through Shropshire as part of a vintage vehicle rally tomorrow.
The 13th annual Shropshire Tractor Run is being organised by Bridgnorth Vintage Machinery Club and begins at the town’s Severn Park at 10.30am.
The classic agricultural machines will be ploughing a course through the country lanes around Bridgnorth and thousands of enthusiasts from across the country are expected to flock to the district to see the spectacle.
The convoy will leave Severn Park and head through Rindleford, Hallon, Worfield, Dallicot, Woundale, Upper Farcote, Wooton and Broad Lanes, before joining the A442 towards Bridgnorth. It will arrive in Bridgnorth High Street at about 12.30pm.
Organiser David Spruce said: “Everything is in place now and we have been told the weather is going to be very good. We are hoping it will be as good as previous years.”
