Ex-Shrewsbury School pupil sacked over ‘hot girl’ email

A former Shrewsbury School student whose e-mails to a friend about a “hot” girl became an unlikely internet hit has been sacked, it has been reported.

Reports said that Sebastian Marsh, 24, was shown the door by Miller Insurance.

His exchange with friend Harry Fildes, 25, about Mr Fildes’s blonde ex-girlfriend Jenni Palmer went public last month.

The e-mail conversation was seen by millions after Mr Fildes, who is also a former Shrewsbury School student, accidentally copied his ex-girlfriend into the e-mails.

Mr Marsh’s father, Benjamin, 62, is reported to have said: “He’s shell-shocked.

“It’s very sad. I’m very disappointed for him.”

Mr Marsh e-mailed Mr Fildes after meeting Miss Palmer, 24, in a pub.

Mr Fildes, a property surveyor who has also been suspended from his post, replied telling Mr Marsh to have “a crack” at Jenni, adding: “She is hot.”

Mr Fildes mistakenly copied her into an e-mail and Mr Marsh passed on the gaffe to pals.

How pathetic to sack over a harmless email, clearly the person who sacked him need a power trip that day , I am sure a written warning would have been good enough.
