Stourbridge teenage stab victim Chloe West is recovering

Teenage stab victim Chloe West was today recovering in hospital after plastic surgery on the wounds she suffered during an attack outside a secondary school in Stourbridge.
Chloe, who was stabbed nine times in the face, neck and upper body, was said to be doing well following an operation at Birmingham Children’s Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Police said the 14-year-old had “steadily improved” throughout the day and was able to talk to officers.
Messages of support have flooded in for the keen horse rider following the ordeal outside Ridgewood High School in Wollaston, Stourbridge, yesterday morning.
An 18-year-old man, named locally as Sam Tomlinson from the Sedgley area and believed to be a former boyfriend, was today being questioned by police in connection with the attack.
Brave bystanders held down the man suspected of the attack until police arrived.
Pupil Ben Hudson and teacher David Stus were today hailed as heroes after they were among a group of parents, teachers and fellow pupils who helped to restrain the attacker
Ben, 16, is said to have rugby tackled the knifeman to the ground, suffering minor injuries to his hand in the process. Mr Stus sat on the attacker as others helped hold him down until officers turned up.
