Shrewsbury nightclub for sale – Wurlitzer included

A Shrewsbury nightclub has been put up for sale – with a unique Wurlitzer organ thrown into the bargain.

The Buttermarket, a huge nightclub based over three floors in Howard Street, Shrewsbury, has been put on the market for £385,000.

Currently, planning regulations dictate that the building must be used as a nightclub, although changes to those regulations are possible.

But the buyers must also be prepared to take on the unusual organ, a traditional Wurlitzer like those found in theatres.

It was still used regularly until the latest nightclub closure, when the Severn Cellars and Warehouse, shut last October.

doesnt matter who gets it because of the location…

all the scutters from that side of town will ruin it whether through drugs and fighting on the inside or sex attacks and muggings on the outside, result is the same… out of business…

Just check the crime stats for the area surrounding the butter market for as far back as the records go…

Andy, you’re probably right. I’ve been out in Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Chiswick many a time and oft, and have never seen as much bad behaviour, boorishness and good old fashioned pushing and shoving as I have in that part of town. Or Mardol for that matter.

How about turning it into an annex to The Dana, to accommodate all of the miscreants who roam the vicinity causing mayhem and nuisance!
