Man charged over Craven Arms caravan theft

A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a £10,000 caravan from a south Shropshire compound.

The man is believed to have broken into the compound in Craven Arms at about 9pm last night and towed the caravan away using a Land Rover, heading along the A49 in the direction of Shrewsbury.

After being tracked by police in Leebotwood he tried to escape on foot but was arrested on suspicion of stealing the caravan and also the Land Rover.
