10cc to support Status Quo in Shrewsbury Quarry

Seventies supergroup 10cc will line up alongside Status Quo for a concert in the Quarry at Shrewsbury.

The band, who enjoyed a worldwide smash in 1975 with I’m Not In Love, will be the support act at the gig on July 15.

Keith Louch, director of promoters IML Concerts, said today: “We are really pleased to have secured 10cc to support the Quo. It adds to the strength of the overall line-up and it will be wonderful to hear those iconic 70s hits at the Quarry.”

The band’s breakthrough was Donna, which reached number two in 1972, and their final number one was Dreadlock Holiday in 1978.

Tickets are available, priced £35 for adults and £15 for children, by calling IML Concerts on (01603) 660444 or online at www.imlconcerts.co.uk

Tickets are also available through the Theatre Severn, Oakengates Theatre and the Mile End TIC Oswestry.

Are any of the originals in 10cc? That mugshot looks like a photo from the bar at a dentist’s convention.

Sounds like a better line up than the V festival. Should give the residents association something to moan about.
