Shrewsbury murder bid is denied

A 35-year-old Shropshire man denied the attempted murder of a man stabbed during a night out.
Stephen Hawkesford, of Allison Road, Shrewsbury, denied the attempted murder of 22-year-old Luke Rawlings when he appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
Mr Rawlings, of Armdale, Robertson Way, Shrewsbury, was stabbed outside the former Topcats bar in August 29. Judge Robin Onions adjourned the case for trial and Hawkesford was allowed bail with an 8pm to 5.30am curfew applied.
