Oswestry car parking fees to rise

Drivers face higher charges at Oswestry’s car parks run by Shropshire Council.

The unitary authority has today published details of new charges for its pay and display car parks in Beatrice Street, Oswald Road, Oak Street and Festival Square.

From April, long-stay drivers will pay £1 to park all day at the Oak Street and Oswald Road car parks, a rise of 10p.

It will be 70p for 30 minutes in Festival Square, £1.10 for an hour.

Fees rise to £3 for up to three hours, £5 for four hours, £6.50 for more than four hours.
