Rush-hour delays after Bronington accident

A collision involving a car and tractor sparked rush-hour chaos for motorists in north Shropshire today.
The incident happened in Bronington, near Whitchurch, at about 8am.
The A495 Whitchurch to Ellesmere road was blocked both ways following the incident between Nook Lane and Moss Lane.
A North Wales Police spokesman said no-one was injured.
Elsewhere, electricity supplies to homes were interrupted when a smash between a car and a van brought down a cable pole near Wem.
The crash, involving a blue Vauxhall Astra and a white and blue Scania box van, happened on the B4397 between Loppington and the A528 junction in Burlton at about 4.50pm yesterday.
Maria Wilkinson, West Mercia Police spokeswoman, said no-one was hurt but highways officials closed the road until this morning to clear up debris.
A Scottish Power spokesman said three customers had brief spells without power overnight while engineers fixed the problem.
Meanwhile, a 72-year-old man died after being hit by a 4×4 in a crash near Market Drayton on Wednesday night.
The man, from Shavington, who has not been named, died at the scene of on the A529 between Audlem and Hankelow. It involved a dark blue Range Rover travelling towards Audlem and a pedestrian.
