Man charged after knife incident at Madeley supermarket
Thursday 20th January 2011, 2:42PM GMT.
A man has been charged with theft and possession of a knife following an incident that took place at the Madeley branch of Tesco yesterday afternoon.
Police said a man allegedly threatened security staff when they stopped him from leaving the store on suspicion of shoplifting at around 6pm on Wednesday.
A man was arrested and has been charged.
He is due to appear at Telford magistrates on Friday morning.
