Face of raider who ransacked Shropshire home
Thursday 20th January 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
This is an e-fit of a burglar who ransacked a house in Shropshire before fleeing with hundreds of pounds of equipment.
The man raided the house in Lilyhurst, near Sheriffhales.
He stole a black iPhone and a Canon 450 D camera with lenses after ransacking several rooms on January 11.
Police said they are confident the e-fit bears a good likeness to the burglar who struck at the house.
The burglar got into the property, close to Lilleshall Golf Club, off Lilyhurst Road, by forcing open a window.
Detective Constable Jason Whelan said: “Our investigations to date have enabled us to draw-up an e-fit of the offender.
Mr Whelan said: “I appeal to anyone who might know his identity or has any other helpful information, to contact me at Bridgnorth police station on 0300 333 3000.”
Mr Whelan said he also wanted to hear from anyone who spotted a blue or grey J-registered Izuzu Trooper in the area. The vehicle was seen close to the premises at about 10.40am on the day of the burglary.
A man, who was also seen in the area, was white, in his 40s, about 5ft 8ins tall with sandy hair and wearing a light coloured anorak.
Witnesses said he was “unkept in appearance”.
