Man in court over Newtown death

A man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the death of a 63-year-old who was found at his home in Mid Wales.

The body of Thomas Morgan was found in Robin Square, in Maesyrhandir, Newtown, on Monday.

Christopher Joseph Cluskey, 56, of Maesyrhandir, Newtown, appeared at Brecon Magistrates Court yesterday.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody until Friday when he will appear at Mold Crown Court.
