Heart attack kills Telford woman aged 34

One of the creators of a Hollywood-style sign in Telford died from a sudden heart attack, despite being seemingly fit and well, an inquest heard.
Ellen Davis and five friends caused a stir when they put up the sign in Dawley, Telford.
More than 2,000 people joined a Facebook campaign in a bid to persuade council chiefs to keep it up.
An inquest at Telford Magistrates Court heard yesterday the 34-year-old, who lived in Malinslee, Telford, collapsed suddenly on November 30 last year while talking to a colleague at work.
She was an employee at Cory Environmental in Stafford Park, Telford.
Telford & Wrekin coroner Mr John Ellery recorded a verdict of death by natural causes. He had earlier heard from friends who described Ellen as fit and active, saying she had taken part in a 26-mile twilight “moonwalk” just months earlier to raise cash for charity.
The hearing was told she had shown no signs of illness apart from complaining of chest pain after having breast implants six weeks before her death. But Dr Nicholas Greene, giving evidence, said he believed the surgery had not contributed to her death.
Her fiancé Chris Hoofe, 40, paid tribute to her and said she had been planning to run in next year’s local elections for Dawley.
“Everybody that knew her loved her. She was just so kind and giving,” said Mr Hoofe at the time of her death.
