£30,000 in jewellery stolen from Telford home

More than £30,000 worth of jewellery and cash has been stolen from a Telford home.

The thieves’ haul of sentimental jewellery from the house in Holyhead Road, Ketley, included a £9,000 diamond ring.

Mrs Jo Clear, who owns Direct Removals in Telford, said she was devastated by the raid.

Missing items included jewellery belonging to her late parents and 30 years’ worth of diamond rings, watches and chains, given to her by her husband.

Other items stolen include American dollars, Mauritian rupees and English cash.

Mrs Carter said she was offering a £1,000 reward over the raid.

“My mum and dad are dead and all of the stuff they gave me is gone,” said Mrs Clear. “Every year my dad bought me a gold chain and when I travelled around with my husband he bought me jewellery and now it’s all gone.

“There were things that I just can’t replace like my daughter’s christening jewellery. It’s not worth a lot, but you can’t put a price on it.”
