West Mercia webcast

A live webcast is being held today for Shropshire residents to have their say on policing cuts.

West Mercia Police Authority chiefs will reveal their priorities for the area and ask listeners what they want cash spent on in the force area.

Authority chairwoman Shelia Blagg said: “We need to know what the public value most and would very much like to hear their views and suggestions.

“We hope that by providing information in a variety of formats we are making it easier for as many people as possible to become involved in setting policing priorities.”

The webcast, at www.westmeciapoliceauthority.gov.uk, starts at 2pm. Submit questions to westmerciapa@gmail.com

Meetings will also be held at Shrewsbury Town Football Club on Wednesday from 7-9pm, and The Civic Offices, Telford Town Centre, on January 17 from 7-9pm.

we want to see bobbies on the beat,
all we see now is cars on the road.

i’ve lived on woodside now for 2 years & have not seen 1 police officer on foot on the estate & we walk our dog every day.

only way i know police are near woodside is when they drive past my house & use the siren everytime just to force traffic to stop so they dont have to give way where the road narrows.

bobbies on the beat, not fat meat in a seat.
