Shropshire’s Faces of the Future for 2011 revealed

Helen McDonald was today revealed as Shropshire’s female Face of the Future for 2011.
The 24 year old, from Telford, said she was “absolutely thrilled” with the news.
She joins the competition’s male winner, Danny Morris, in winning a £150 spending spree, and will take part in at least six different events at Telford Shopping Centre.
Their year in the coveted roles starts with an appearance at the Telford Wedding Exhibition at the shopping centre this month.
Helen takes on the female Face of the Future title from É Lauren Bason.
Eight finalists took part in a glamorous eveningwear photoshoot at Weston Park. The judging panel praised the girls, saying making a decision on the winner had been very “difficult indeed”.
“It’s wonderful news and I still can’t quite believe it,” said Helen. “All the girls who took part were really lovely and looked fantastic at the photoshoot.
“It’s a wonderful way to start the new year and can’t wait for it all to begin.
” I know it will provide lots of great opportunities for me and I am really looking forward to meeting people and acting as a good role model for the next year.”
Danny, 22, of Trench, Telfo- rd, said he was delighted to win the competition after first ent- ering last year. He takes over from the first male winner in the competition, Nat Blackbourne, from Shrewsbury.
Marketing manager at Telford Shopping Centre, Tracy Hadley, said the winners should feel very proud of themselves for doing so well in the competition.
“They are very deserving winners and we are looking forward to working with both Danny and Helen over the next year,” she added. “It will be an exciting time with lots of new experiences for them.”
