Police appeal over River Severn rescue dog

Police in Shrewsbury today launched an appeal to track down the owner of a dog which was rescued from the town’s River Severn.
Police and fire crews rescued the dog near Telford Way bridge in Monkmoor just before 11am yesterday.
The animal is a female, Staffordshire bull terrier, brindle in colour with a white chest and a scar on its nose. It has a studded collar with a lead attached. It may have recently had puppies.
The owner is asked to call police in Shrewsbury on 0300 333 3000.
