Meet three more finalists in our Face of the Future 2011 competition
Sporty teenager Danielle Richards, of Telford, was nominated for the Face of the Future competition by her mother, who said the 16-year- old had developed into a wonderful and caring human being.
She said of her daughter: “Danielle is a strong character, who is not easily led and will only be influenced by others if she thinks it is right. Where she sees injustice she will act and speak out against it.
“Danielle is very caring and very much in touch with her emotions. In this last year I have seen her develop into a very mature and capable individual going from quite a challenging teenager.
“She is very determined and now channels this determination in the correct way allowing her to achieve many things.”
Her sporting interests used to include gymnastics for many years, but she gave this up a few years ago and now she attends kickboxing twice a week.
Her mum added: “Her other sporting interests include waterskiing and she enjoys watching rugby and football, especially FC Barcelona. Although this makes her sound quite butch – she is a really girly girl.”
Danielle said she would love the opportunity of becoming the next Face of the Future adding she really enjoyed the photoshoot at Weston Park.
“It was a fantastic experience and I particularly like my hair and make-up,” she added.
Look: Josh Humphries and his team from Dreams Hair and Beauty also created a playful up-do for Danielle which perfectly complimented her short red dress by Ben De Lisi from the Principals party collection.

When Helen McDonald, 24, entered the competition it was to prove that not only do blondes have more fun but that hard work and determination is the key to success. Graduating from university with a first class honours degree, Helen, of Telford, is no stranger to hard work but believes life is about setting a good example in all kinds of ways.
“The reason I deserve to be Face of the Future 2011 is because I’m ready to show people that feeling beautiful isn’t just about looks, but having a sense of self-worth and achievement,” said Helen.
“I have worked incredibly hard all my life to reach where I am in my career but I feel Face of the Future will be something I will achieve because of the person I am.
“It’ll show me that being me, being blonde and bubbly is more than ok. I want to be a good role model for girls and prove that taking care of yourself, emotionally and physically, working hard at your goals and embracing how you look are what make us attractive.
“I love to sparkle and I am an extremely honest, warm and down to earth girl. I do believe things happen for a reason and I think this would be a wonderful experience and one which I would relish every minute of.
“I have overcome so many challenges in my life and I never ever give up on anything, even when it gets really tough. I came out of university with a first class honours degree so I have got a few brain cells behind this bleached hairdo.
“The photoshoot was a fantastic day and it was great to get to know all the other people involved. I loved being in front of the camera and would truly enjoy the year ahead if I was to win.”
Look: Josh Humphries and his team from Dreams Hair and Beauty worked Helen’s flowing blonde mane into a side ponytail of curls which really worked well with her one-shoulder gown from Debut at Debenhams at Telford Shopping Centre.

Jodie Holland, of Weston-under-Lizard, believes Face of the Future is the perfect opportunity to highlight how people from different walks of life all have something to give to the community in which they live.
The 20-year-old said she entered because she wanted to put her stamp on Telford and to try something different.
“Individuality is key and I am a firm believer that it’s so important to be unique,” said Jodie, who added that she wanted to bring something different to the role if she was successful in her bid to be crowned Face of the Future 2011.
“I’m quirky and vintage in my style and I feel this gives my appearance an edge and helps to promote my own sense of self and wellbeing .
“Being the Face of the Future in 2011 is about bringing something to Telford and highlighting diversity and how important it is to appreciate all the different talents people have to offer.
“I love being sociable and meeting people and I think winning this competition would provide some great opportunities for me.
“The photoshoot at Weston Park was such good fun in a really glamorous location.
“It was a great start to the Christmas holidays for me and a good chance to get tips on how to look great for New Year’s Eve.”
Look: The team at Dreams let Jodie’s lovely long locks flow naturally to go with her short and sassy dress with detailed embellishment from Debut at Debenhams.
