Postbox blaze destroys Newport mail
Thursday 16th December 2010, 11:28AM GMT.
A batch of Christmas mail was destroyed in an arson attack on a postbox in Newport.
It is suspected youths seen hanging around the postbox moments before the fire last night threw a lit firework inside.
The box was discovered ablaze in the High Street at about 10.40pm.
Firefighters used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the flames.
