Man charged with murder following Hanwood death

A 51-year-old man was today charged with murder following the death of a woman in a village near Shrewsbury.
The man was arrested at about 5am yesterday after police found the woman, named locally as Jane Edwards, dead at a flat in Caradoc View in Hanwood on Tuesday night.
The man was interviewed and was today charged with murder and remanded in custody, police said.
He is due to appear before Shrewsbury Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
