Woman dies in car and bus collision on Shropshire border

A woman died today after her car was involved in a collision with a bus on the Shropshire border. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened at 7.40am on the B4500 at Pontfadog in the Ceiriog Valley. Initial fears were that the vehicles had plunged into the River Ceiriog, emergency services said, but these proved unfounded.
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the fire service had to use cutting gear to release the woman.
