A5 closed near Oswestry after crash
Wednesday 15th December 2010, 8:00AM GMT.
The A5 was shut in both directions near Oswestry this morning after a collision.
Two cars were involved in the incident at the Queen’s Head junction at about 5.30am, but no-one was seriously hurt.
Two people suffered minor injuries.
Both vehicles needed to be lifted off the road.
Northbound traffic was diverted through Whittington while southbound traffic was directed through West Felton.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene but the two injured people refused hospital treatment.

This junction, along with the incredibly artistic but confusing Maesbury Road junction, and others continues to have accident after accident. At the risk of being blunt, put a bloody roundabout there !
