Alert after Telford fire from decoration

Two people had to be evacuated from a house in Shropshire after a Christmas decoration caught fire.
Firefighters today warned people not to put candles into Christmas decorations after being called to a home in Bartholomew Road, Lawley, Telford, at midnight.
Aubrey Thomas, watch manager at Wellington, said the pair were alerted by the smell of smoke and took the burning decoration outside.
