Telford factory worker jailed for life
Wednesday 8th December 2010, 5:41PM GMT.
A factory worker from Telford was jailed for life today for stabbing a colleague to death following a petty row.
Balraj Singh was ordered to serve a minimum term of 20 years after being found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey.
The court heard he had a grudge against Gurmukh Chahal and rushed downstairs with a knife when he saw Mr Chahal near his car.
The two men struggled before Mr Chahal, 42, collapsed from a knife wound which punctured a lung and cut a vital blood vessel.
He died at the engineering factory where they worked in Bridge Road, Southall, west London, in April.
Singh, 44, of Weavers Rise, Ketley Bank, had once been friends with Mr Chahal but they fell out, the court had been told.
