More Shropshire snow on the way
Tuesday 30th November 2010, 2:40PM GMT.
Shropshire and Mid Wales was today firmly in the grip of the Big Freeze which continued to cause chaos across Britain.
Snow fell in the region early today and up to an inch was left covering roads and pavements overnight as it spread to many areas of the UK.
Virtually every part of the country woke up to between 0.8in (2cm) and 4in (10cm) of snow today, with the east coast worst hit by flurries and sub-zero temperatures.
Today was expected to be another bitterly cold day with the mercury expected to peak at 1C (34F) but plunge to -4C (25F).

The headline says “more snow on the way” but the article doesn’t mention it?

This is a cut-down version of the full article from the paper, which did mention it, but I’d managed to cut it out. Thanks for spotting it – I’ve now added another line to the article.

What happens if “Shropshire Snow” falls in other areas, do they request it is cleared up by visiting workers?

Well I think we should charge them – how dare they try and steal our white gold.

Our road was closed today, Lincoln Hill in Ironbridge, only due to someone with no sense driving down it, probably why their car ended up on it’s side & a right off.
Maybe the council might listen to the local residents now, when we phone to ask for more grit, as we had used it all up. We often say a accident will happen but they don’t listen!!
