Fire at Stoke Heath YOI after electrical fault

Curtains and bedding caught fire at a young offenders’ institution in Shropshire after a TV in one of the cells blew up.
Crews were called to Stoke Heath YOI, near Market Drayton, just after midnight yesterday.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Meanwhile firefighters in Shrewsbury spent nearly an hour tackling a fire in a first floor bedroom yesterday.
The fire broke out in Newfield Drive, Castlefields, at about 4.20pm. The house was unoccupied at the time.
