Hundreds of antique holders from across Shropshire queued up to meet ITV’s Real Deal expert David Dickinson after he arrived in the county.
Mr Dickinson brought his programme to Enginuity in Coalbrookdale on Saturday for the filming of four shows. Deals were struck throughout the day with thousands of pounds in cash handed over.
Shropshire woman Sarah Harris is due to appear on the show after walking away with hundreds of pounds for a diamond solitaire ring.
Mrs Harris, from Bratton in Telford, did not intend on selling any of her jewellery but after £800 was laid on the table, she said she found it hard to turn down.
She was told she could have made up to £1,500 at auction but was swayed when the dealer Alison Chapman assured her the market was not strong enough to reach that price.
After filming she said: “It was nerve wrecking.
“I only came to have a look at things, but ended up selling. It was good.”
Rex Key, from Broseley, got a one-to-one session with Mr Dickinson who said he was fascinated with Mr Key’s collection of 14,000 clay pipes.
Mr Key said: “I came to Broseley more than 40 years ago and started digging my garden and I found all sorts of pipes.
“Broseley has a history of clay pipes which started in 1696 with the Leg family and continued until 1957.
Others who brought antiques but refused to sell in the hope of making more money at auction, will see their items go under the hammer next month.
Brettells Auction House in Newport will play host to the next part of filming where residents will find out if their gamble paid off.
