Man arrested over Ellesmere metal thefts

A man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing metal from a Shropshire town hall.

The man was arrested following five separate incidents of lead being taken from Ellesmere Town Hall.

Four of the incidents happened within one week of each other in September, with the other happening earlier in the summer.

Constable Howard Lewis, from Ellesmere, said: “A man has been arrested in regards with five incidents of lead being stolen from Ellesmere Town Hall.”
