Two cars in crash at Astley, near Shrewsbury

A person was taken to hospital today after a two- car crash on a main Shropshire road.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it had no details on the person’s injuries following the crash at about 7.50am on the A53 at Astley, near Shrewsbury.
It said a crew en-route to another incident came across the accident and the person was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Police said the crash had involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Escort.
