Children arrested over fires in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury
Monday 25th October 2010, 6:01PM BST.
Two children have been arrested following a series of field fires in the Monkmoor area of Shrewsbury.
Firefighters were called to a number of straw fires in a field off Hearne Way and Telford Way during mid-September. Seven incidents were reported in one week.
Police constable Kerry Hawkins, the investigating officer, said today the two juveniles were on police bail pending further inquiries.
